30 Weeks

How far along: 30 weeks-only 10 more to go-ahhh!!

Gender: it's a boy!

Weight gain: 2lbs so far-yikes!

Maternity clothes: loving my maternity leggings, tanks and tops 

Stretch marks: none yet-fx'd!

Belly button in or out: in-ish...? It's not fully out but could pop at any minute 

Sleep: ehh it's so-so at this point, definitely getting use out of my snoogle!

Best moment this week: celebrating New Years Eve with good friends and the love of my life thinking about all the amazing times that lie ahead for us this year. 

Worst moment this week: nothing that I can think of actually...

Miss anything: being able to bend over and put on boots, pick things up etc...

Movement: yes! I could actually see the little guy moving around in there from the outside!

Cravings: nope not really...think I missed out on the whole 'cravings' part of pregnancy...

Looking forward to: our first birthing class on Sunday! Should be interesting and terrifying!

Christmas in Pictures

This year was a pretty low key Christmas, spent with close friends and family-just perfect for this 7 months preggo! We ate, opened presents and enjoyed each others' company-sans cocktail for me...I'm already dreaming of an egg nog martini for next year :)

29 Weeks

How far along: 29 weeks!

Gender: it's a boy! 

Weight gain: I estimate between 20-25 lbs

Maternity clothes: oh yes, much needed!

Stretch marks: none yet!

Belly button in or out: definitely flattened, but still in. 

Sleep: it's been rough...baby boy seems to wake up right when I decide to lay down. I guess this is just a taste of what I'm in for in the months to come. 

Best moment this week: Spending the holidays with loved ones and feeling the extra love that baby G is bringing us all already!

Worst moment this week:

Miss anything: hot cocoa with baileys! Being able to put on shoes without it being such a production!

Movement: oh yeah! lots of kicks, flips, punches, etc. 

Cravings: still enjoying milk quite a bit!

Looking forward to: having the next few days off to relax and catch up with friends and family.

28 Weeks-3rd trimester!!

How far along: 28 weeks yesterday! So happy to reach the milestone of 3rd trimester!!

Gender: 💙baby boy! 💙

Weight gain: overall about 17 lbs

Maternity clothes: still lovin them, although the ones I bought early on are getting a little tight and small...may need to make another trip soon!

Stretch marks: none yet-crossing fingers, toes and everything else

Belly button in or out: it's debatable...mostly in, but starting to peek out a bit

Sleep: my back's been killing, so sleep has been a little rough this week-so looking to return to yoga on Saturday!

Best moment this week: Classroom breakfast with parents and kids saying why they're thankful for us as teachers :)

Worst moment this week: refused to take the sidewalk this morning because I was nervous about ice so I decided to trudge through the snow and got snow all down my boots and my pants were all wet. Not one of my finer moment!

Miss anything: a little baileys in my cocoa :)

Movement: oh yeah, everyday. This is one active little boy

Cravings: well I have been going crazy baking cookies lately and sampling all the products of course :)

Looking forward to: Christmas next week!! Can't wait to be surrounded by loved ones for the holiday!

27 weeks

Okay so I'm a little tardy on this, and will be 28 weeks in 2 days, but better late than never!

How far along: 27 1/2 weeks

Gender: it's a boy!

Weight gain: none since last visit, about 17 lbs overall so far

Maternity clothes: loving my maternity leggings and stretchy shirts lately 

Stretch marks: none yet-using oil and creams almost daily

Belly button in or out: tentatively in-could pop any day!

Sleep: eh not too horrible...I've been waking up around 4:30 for the past few days, which is especially annoying, considering I only get 30 mins until my alarm goes off

Best moment this week: baking Christmas cookies and seeing two former students thriving!

Worst moment this week: coming down with this cold/flu quickly last night-I've been trying to sleep it off and fend off any fevers

Miss anything: a nice Christmas cocktail or glass of wine at all the parties

Movement: lots and lots-kicks, punches and squirming

Cravings: still like milk-not having it everyday anymore though...

Looking forward to: Christmas in 9 days!!! Ahh!! And reaching the third trimester on Wednesday! 

Is there anything better...

Than New York City at Christmas time? 

The hustle and bustle of busy shoppers, carriage rides through Central Park, Christmas in NY just has a special place in my heart. As a little girl, my family went to the Radio City Christmas show every year on the first Saturday of December-it was our tradition. So this year my mom and I thought it would be fun to continue the tradition as adults.

We headed down on a bus trip to New York City last Saturday, the first Saturday of December. We ate lots of food, did some sightseeing and shopping and of course saw the Christmas show. It was a little different but with all the same nostalgia. 

I can't wait to start Christmas traditions with my little family!
