Loving Lexington!

This past weekend was beautiful and we finally got a chance to explore
our new surroundings in our new town!

Lexington has a lot of conservation land and the town has done a nice job of making lots of walking trails all throughout. It was so much fun to hike/walk around and
let Gertie run around :)

She was a happy girl!
And we're loving our new 'hood!

February Break-Cruisin'

This February, my Mom and I went on our 2nd annual Mother-Daughter cruise! We are super close, but since we live an hour and a half away (which I know isn't that far), we don't see each other as much as we used to.  We decided that one week out of the year would be reserved just for us we have such a blast!

We lounged. We ate. We sunbathed. We "spa'd". We shopped. We explored. We adventured.

It was AMAZING!

The Spa on board-where we spent lots of time!

Cha-cha-changes!

Well, it's official-we're moving to the burbs! After 4 wonderful years in Brighton, an opportunity came up for us to rent out in the burbs and we're taking it. We're hoping going to save lots of money in hopes of a future home/babies :) and Brighton is just not cutting it with the money-saving. The lots of fun, lots of walking, lots of shops, bars and restaurants-yes, money saving-no :(

Although we're super sad to see our Brighton days go, we know we're doing the right thing for our family (I guess this means we're growing up or something.....) and if you know me, you know I don't do well with change, but I really am trying my best. I'll be putting on my big girl pants and putting a smile on (or at least trying to) as we embark on the next adventure of our lives :) (See, I'm putting a positive spin on things!)

In the mean time, here's a sneak peak at our new apartment.  Don't mind the mess, it's getting all cleaned, fixed and prettied up for our arrival :) I promise I'll have some after pics in a few days!

Counting down to February Vacation...

T minus 8 hours until February vacation!! No, it's not just the kiddos who are looking forward to this break.  These past few weeks have been stressful-nothing major, just the basic day to day challenges, but they do add up and this just feels like the perfect time to step back, reflect, and relax.

Speaking of relaxing....did I mention my Feb. vacation plans? My Mom and I are off on our 2nd annual girls vacation. Tomorrow we will be cruisin' to the Carribean.

I. seriously. can't. wait.

So, although I've been M.I.A for a while, and will be for another week, I promise lots of pictures and stories about our biddy adventures upon my return :)

Oh, and did I mention we're moving 3 days after I get back...yeah...more on that to come too!

Happy Friday! And for all the teachers-Happy February Vacation-you SO deserve it!!

Countdown to the Move....

Well, it's official...in less than a month, we'll be packing up and trading the city lights for the open fields and strip malls of the suburbs. After visiting our new apartment this past weekend and exploring our new town with my parents, I really am starting to get excited!

My Mom and I were the 'welcome wagon' and went to all the little shops, boutiques and cafes of the "downtown" area. It's very historic, with a mix of old (like revolutionary war old) and more modern. It's adorable-and there were a ton of people out and about. It was really fun to see all the hustle and bustle of a new place.

Let the packing madness begin...

We have been waiting anxiously for this game all week! Not only are the Pats in the Super Bowl, but they are playing the Giants which means a chance or revenge for 2007!

People here in New England and Boston in particular are amped up! It's an exciting day.

Game Day menu:

-chips and guacamole
-homemade mozzarella sticks
-7 layer dip
-buffalo chicken rangoons
-and of course...wings!

LETS GO PATS!
