Spring has sprung

Spring has sprung here in Lexington, MA and sometimes I look outside, and I swear it's like I walked into a Dr. Seuss book with all the pinks, purples, yellows and whites! I love it :) 

....and now that Spring is here, it's not long until my favorite season of all..... :) :)

We gonna party like it's our....

So, with my husband's and my birthday being a day apart-mine was yesterday and his is today-our birthday's are a pretty big celebration around here. This year we kept it low key and had both our families visit for the weekend, which was really fun. On our actual birthdays, we celebrated by going out to dinner and walking our dog...I guess we really are getting old!

Nick entered the last year of his twenties, and I'm 2 years behind at 27. This past year, especially these last few months have been some of the toughest times of our lives, so we gladly cheered on a new start and a new year, here's hoping 27 and 29 are healthier and happier!

I'll be home for Christmas...

Christmas has been spent home in CT this year, with both my parents and my in-laws! It's been a really low-key holiday, which is just what the doctor ordered. It even started snowing on Christmas Eve, while we were sipping our hot cocoa and watching 'It's a Wonderful Life'-it can't get much better than that!  And after a rough couple of weeks, we've all been remembering what this holiday is all about-the blessings in life that money can't buy.

My 100th Post!!!

I can't believe this little ol' blog has gotten to 100 posts! I started this over a year ago as a way to keep friends and family in the loop. Along the way, I've met some great people and incredible bloggers who have inspired me to keep writing. No matter how silly or mundane I think something in my life is, it's a part of my life. It's a memory and I've documented it.

 It's fun to look back at past posts and see where I was in my life at that point. I'm glad that years down the road, I'll have something to look back at and show my kids.

 I'm glad that blogging is something I enjoy doing and something I find fun. 

I know I can only improve and I look forward to what's to come...
