Packing for MV!

Our annual family vacation to Martha's Vineyard is coming up and I can't wait! I still find myself getting as giddy and excited as I did our first trip, back when I was 11 years old!

It's such a special and magical place for me. Countless family memories have been made.

l spent those first summers with cousins and friends riding our bikes to South Beach and walking into town to get Mad Martha's. I then spent my early teen years pining after tanned Oak Bluffs boys, and in recent years shopping in Edgartown and enjoying some of the local nightlife. I look forward to the years when I introduce my own children to this special place, walking my babies on the beach as we watch the Menemsha sunset, buying them cute little MV shirts in Vineyard Haven, 

and most importantly continuing this precious family tradition.

So laundry and packing awaits me as I get ready to travel to the place that will 

forever be my summer home- Martha's Vineyard.

Wedding Season 2012-Jessica and Greg

This past weekend, we traveled out to "Connecticut's Quiet Corner" to the Lord Thompson Manor for our good friends' wedding. The wedding was absolutely picture perfect, and spending the entire weekend with friends and family we haven't seen in a while was priceless. Oh, and best of all...since hubs was in the wedding party, I got to hang out with my stud in a tux :) 

Congratulations Greg and Jess!! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness!

June Birchbox

Okay, so I've jumped on the Birchbox bandwagon and decided to try out these little gift boxes that come once a month and have a theme-I mean who doesn't love a theme?

This month was 'Jet Set' and included items for a summer getaway. 

 My favorite was the Cynthia Rowley Band-aids-killer!

The products are all okay-nothing that is wow-ing me yet though...I think I'll give it another month or two and then decide if it's really worth it.

I do have to say though, getting that little box in the mail is pretty exciting!

Father's Day Fun

This Father's Day was spent much like last year's, at my in-laws, with my parents and husband's grandparents. Our Father's Day cookout is becoming a yearly tradition-and I just love traditions!

We ate, swam, played, and most importantly enjoyed time with our Dads :)

first taste of summer

The day started out at our local farmers market 

we ate spicy pickles & yummy dips

peeked at pretty flowers

gertie made some new friends

 Then we headed out to the shore

and even though

it was only a 45 minute drive

it felt like a mini-vacation

we window shopped

ate lobster nachos that were to-die-for

tried to spot some celebs

sat and watched some boats

it felt like a first taste of summer :)
