So, this past weekend, my husband and I decided to dive (more like lightly dip our toes) into clean eating. We want to eat clean for as much of the week as possible, although we do enjoy eating out and going out with friends, so at this point in our lives, we're not doing a full detox...
This recipe was our start to clean eating, and it made things easy, since it was so super yummy!
Pumpkin Maple Oatmeal
Gather ingredients:
Cook oatmeal according to directions:
After oatmeal has cooked, add 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling!)
Stir into oatmeal:
It should look something like this:
Add pumpkin pie spice (no sugar added):
Add 1 tablespoon maple syrup (100% pure, not the fake pancake syrup stuff):
For a little special treat, add a dollop of this Stonewall Kitchen goodness:
