21 weeks

How far along: 21 weeks yesterday! 

Gender: not sure yet...

Weight gain: ugh haven't stepped on a scale recently-last week it was 12 lbs

Maternity clothes: just got some new ones from gap-love their 'pure body' line

Stretch marks: none yet (fingers crossed)

Belly button in or out:in

Sleep: not too bad...although for the past  few days I've been waking up at 4:30am which stinks because it's only 45 mins until my alarm...

Best moment this week: feeling baby G really move around and nick feeling the first kicks!

Worst moment this week: just a few back pains, nothing major

Miss anything: no, not really :)

Movement: yes! Almost daily :) usually around bed time

Cravings: just had a major Italian food craving tonight-made pasta and meatballs :)

Looking forward to: our gender reveal party November 27th!!

20 Weeks

How far along: 20 weeks-halfway there! 

How big is baby: baby is a banana

Weight gained: still around 12 lbs

Maternity clothes: Loving maternity clothes! 

Stretch marks: still none yet

Miss anything: definitely missing the pumpkin beers! 

Movement: none :( found out at my ultrasound that I have an anterior placenta, which may be making it more difficult to feel things, but I've been reassured that within the week or so, I should be feeling some movements

Cravings: still nothing really

Other symptoms: lower back pains have gotten pretty intense, still some numbness at night on the side I'm sleeping on

Best moment this week: seeing Baby G on the big screen! Loved seeing him or her move around on the screen and hear the ultrasound tech say 'everything looks perfect!'

Worst moment this week: Well, two days after the 'perfect ultrasound' I had some light spotting, which of course sent me completely over the edge-I was a huge basketcase-poor nick :/. But after going to the midwife and being assured that everything is fine, and some spotting is normal, I'm starting to feel better....

Most looking forward to: prenatal yoga! It's been weeks since my last class and my whole body is feeling it

Best ultrasound ever!!

Today we had our 20 week anatomy scan and it could not have gone better! I was so nervous with all the horror stories I've heard about silent techs and straight faces, but our tech, Mae, was the sweetest, warmest woman. For two first time parents who were nervous wrecks, she just eased our mind completely. She kept saying how everything looks perfect and beautiful-it was music to our ears! 

And of course it was just amazing to see our little one in action. He or she is quite the mover & shaker! 

It was hands down the best thing I've ever seen in my whole life!!

19 Weeks

So, I know I'm a little late to the party, but with holding my breath, through the first trimester, starting school and moving to a new apartment-I am just finally getting some weekly bump pics and updates. I promise I'll try to be more consistent from here on out, as I really want to document this special time!

How far along: 19 Weeks today!

How big is baby: baby is a mango :) About 6 inches long and weighs about 8.5 oz

Weight gained: about 12 lbs so far

Maternity clothes: Love them! Maternity pants are my BFF right now, I have work pants, jeans and a cute pair of colored jeans that are all in rotation. I have a few maternity tanks that I wear with my regular sweaters.

Stretch marks: None yet!

Miss anything: All the fall drinks out right now-hello Shipyard pumpkinhead and pumpkin martinis!

Movement: (im)patiently waiting for some kicks! Baby G must be a pretty chill baby...

Cravings: Nothing yet-but when I get hungry, I need to eat right then and there!

Aversions: Nothing really....I got sick last week after I ate an apple, but I think that was because of my cold, not because of morning sickness.

Other symptoms: lower back pains, some leg cramping....

Best moment this week: finalizing our move into our new 2 bedroom apartment!! And painting baby G's room gray-pics to come later!

Most looking forward to: our anatomy ultrasound on Monday!! Can't wait to see our little one in action!!

Preggo and over the moon excited!!

It's official!!

And here's the day we found out-July 8th in Cape Cod on our family vacation! 

Probably the last shot of a flat tummy for awhile!

We found out a day before our third wedding anniversary-what a gift!

We were a bundle of nerves throughout the first trimester, but now we're in the second trimester and everything looks good so far, we're just counting our blessings everyday!

We're so excited for what these next few months will bring and can't wait to meet baby G!!
